Being productive while disconnected.

5 Apr

I have been without internet for a day and a half, and it was the longest day and a half in my life.

I didn’t realise how much I depend on the internet everyday, banking, finding a recipe for dinner, social media, Googling random things.

I could have kissed the technician when he replaced the modem this morning and the first thing I did when he left was jump onto Facebook so that I could get my fix of living vicariously through past acquaintances who have much more interesting lives than me.

I did put this disconnected time to good use though and rekindled the crochet flame. I made myself a super cute, multipurpose item that I will share with you once I get a few more photos. I also had plenty of time to think of future projects and to remember lost crafting items which I am hoping to find when I visit my Mum’s house this weekend, such as a deckle for paper making and a silkscreen for printmaking. Finger crossed they are still there, my head is exploding with ideas on what to do with them!

I’m am also excited to get an update on the project I outsourced to my Mum and check out her new baby chicks!

Since I am now reconnected to the big wide world there is a lot of random Googling I have to catch up on, so happy Friday, have an awesome crafty weekend, see you on the other side!
