A fast friendship is being forged

17 Apr

I think that crochet and I have finally turned a corner. I am really enjoying learning and teaching myself with small projects like the fingerless gloves I made over the weekend.

I found the pattern here. It was the perfect beginner project to learn the treble stitch.

I made two rectangles using treble stitch, folded them in half and whip stitched them together leaving a space for my thumb.

And here is the end result, they are sort of cute, but I can’t really see myself ever wearing them, but I now know what a treble is and feel confident doing it.

It is crazy that after so many failed attempts at learning to crochet, that finally I am enjoying it and I want to do more and learn more.

But first, I need to get some new wool, I am so sick of everything being multicoloured and yellow. I might take a trip to the shops today.

Very awesome! See, not hard at all.
I like the way you post and learn. gives me much info i need how beginners see things. I crochet all my life and now write patterns for beginners. It is well worth to pass on those ideas to the next generation. Thank you!
